About the fcee
WHO WE ARE
The Florida Council on Economic Education (FCEE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving K–12 school districts, teachers, and students across the state of Florida.
In 2025, we proudly celebrate our 50th year of empowering educators and equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need for lifelong personal and financial success.
Our mission is to prepare Florida’s young people to become productive members of the workforce, responsible consumers, and wise investors through educational programs in economics, the free enterprise system, and personal financial literacy.
As Florida’s leading resource for K–12 teachers seeking professional development and classroom materials in economic and financial education, FCEE provides all training and resources at no cost—thanks to the generous support of our business community funders.
WHAT WE DO
FCEE supports five Centers for Economic Education and one itinerant trainer, each delivering high-impact training to K–12 educators in economics, entrepreneurship, personal finance, and the free enterprise system.
Our unique educator training model:
All training is aligned with Florida’s state standards and is offered at no cost to educators.
Each year, FCEE trains more than 3,000 teachers across the state. This professional development delivers an extraordinary ripple effect:
Once trained, educators are equipped to teach these vital subjects year after year—impacting thousands of students over the course of their careers.
In just the last school year alone, FCEE’s programs and resources reached over 350,000 Floridians.
